Başak Erel has become one of the leading figures shaping Türkiye’s tourism industry throughout a career spanning more than 30 years. As one of the founding team members of the Europe-based Magic Life brand in the 1990s, she played a pioneering role in introducing the “all-inclusive” holiday system to Türkiye, bringing a completely new vision to the sector.
Erel also played a key role in the international expansion journey of Rixos Hotels, contributing significantly to the brand’s transformation into a global hospitality player operating in more than 10 countries. She later managed the transformation process of Paloma Hotels, making major contributions to the creation of original and contemporary concepts such as Club Marvy, which reflects a new-generation holiday experience.
Today, through EREL & Co Hospitality Consultancy, the consultancy firm she founded, Erel continues to share her expertise with the industry. She leads pioneering work in areas such as brand management, strategic development, and international market positioning.
